The Client

Ajara Alghali, a city planner based in Chicago, founded Culturvated with the aim of positively impacting her community. As a resident of the city, Ajara is committed to using her expertise to effect positive change in the lives of people of color in her community. Her passion for teaching and her unwavering determination to create meaningful change have made her a prominent figure in Chicago's activist community. Ajara's goal is to encourage everyone in her community to work towards the decolonization of society and the redefinition of societal values so that the city of Chicago can be a more just and equitable place for all, and she came to me looking to revamp and expand her social presence.

The Work

Culturvated has now made significant progress in creating a more cohesive image across its social media platforms. We restructured Culturvated’s Instagram and LinkedIn after a detailed audit to better inform profile aesthetics and strategy. Ajara has been able to create more video content and grew the confidence to venture into other spaces like Twitter. In three short months, Culturvated saw an increase in instagram engagement rates as well as maintained a steady 1.5% increase in follower count monthly through organic engagement.
